{"id":3930,"date":"2019-12-20T11:00:06","date_gmt":"2019-12-20T10:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/que-es-una-funcion-instrumentada-de-seguridad-iec61511\/"},"modified":"2025-08-04T23:34:21","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T22:34:21","slug":"que-es-una-funcion-instrumentada-de-seguridad-iec61511","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/es\/que-es-una-funcion-instrumentada-de-seguridad-iec61511\/","title":{"rendered":"Qu\u00e9 es una Funci\u00f3n Instrumentada de Seguridad &#8211; IEC61511"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Funci\u00f3n Instrumentada de Seguridad<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La Funci\u00f3n Instrumentada de Seguridad, cuya abreviatura es SIF (\u201cSafety Instrumented Function\u201d), <strong>es una capa de protecci\u00f3n cuyo objetivo es lograr o mantener un estado seguro del proceso cuando se produzca un evento peligroso espec\u00edfico.<\/strong> La SIF se implementa en el SIS (Safety Instrumented System) que normalmente est\u00e1 compuesto de varias funciones de seguridad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A cada Funci\u00f3n Instrumentada de Seguridad se le <strong>asigna un determinado nivel de protecci\u00f3n,<\/strong> definido por el <strong>nivel SIL <\/strong>(1, 2, 3 o 4), utilizando alguna de las metodolog\u00edas definidas en las normas IEC 61508\/61511 como el \u201cGr\u00e1fico de Riesgos\u201d, la \u201cMatriz de Riesgos\u201d o la LOPA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En la siguiente tabla se muestra el <strong>Factor de Reducci\u00f3n de Riesgo <\/strong>(RRF) de los niveles SIL para el caso de una SIF de baja demanda que es lo habitual en la industria de proceso.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload aligncenter wp-image-295\" src=\"https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels.jpg\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels.jpg\" alt=\"Funci\u00f3n Instrumentada de Seguridad\" width=\"512\" height=\"248\" srcset=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%27http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%27%20width%3D%27512%27%20height%3D%27248%27%20viewBox%3D%270%200%20512%20248%27%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%27512%27%20height%3D%27248%27%20fill-opacity%3D%220%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels-200x97.jpg 200w, https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels-300x145.jpg 300w, https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels-400x194.jpg 400w, https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels-600x291.jpg 600w, https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels-768x372.jpg 768w, https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels-800x388.jpg 800w, https:\/\/safetyandsis.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Safety-Integrity-Levels.jpg 1024w\" data-sizes=\"auto\" data-orig-sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por ejemplo, en una SIF con SIL-1 reduciremos el riesgo un m\u00ednimo de 10 veces, con SIL-2 100 veces y con SIL-3 1000 veces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La Funci\u00f3n Instrumentada de Seguridad est\u00e1 <strong>compuesta de cualquier combinaci\u00f3n de sensor, logic solver (PLC), elemento final y todas las interfases necesarias <\/strong>(cables, tubing, conexi\u00f3n al proceso, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Debemos recordar lo siguiente:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">El <strong>SIS <\/strong>est\u00e1 compuesto de <strong>varias Funciones de Seguridad <\/strong>(SIF).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cada SIF est\u00e1 formada por un <strong>subsistema SENSOR<\/strong>, un <strong>subsistema LOGIC SOLVER <\/strong>y un <strong>subsistema ACTUADOR<\/strong>. Cada uno de estos subsistemas tiene uno o varios componentes con una determinada arquitectura (1oo1, 1oo2, 2oo3, etc.). La l\u00f3gica de los subsistemas sensor y actuador se programa en el PLC de seguridad.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un subsistema SENSOR o ACTUADOR <strong>puede formar parte de una o de varias SIFs<\/strong>, incluso puede haber dos SIFs con los mismos elementos. Por ejemplo, un transmisor de presi\u00f3n con disparo por alta y por baja presi\u00f3n. Tenemos dos SIFs que deben cerrar las dos v\u00e1lvulas de corte de gas del quemador tanto por alta como por baja presi\u00f3n, ambas utilizan el mismo sensor, el mismo PLC y las mismas v\u00e1lvulas.
